As the needs of our region have evolved over time, The Community Foundation has remained steadfast and committed to supporting and strengthening our community for all who call this region their home.
Whether tackling issues of education, homelessness, food security, and workforce development or responding to crises – including the AIDS epidemic of the 80s, the September 11 attack on the Pentagon, the 2008 financial crisis, or the recent COVID-19 pandemic – The Community Foundation has been there when our community needs us most. We continue to provide critical leadership to galvanize resources, convene partners, and strategically invest in solutions to help our community navigate challenges.
